Become A Lancer Engineer

It is recommended that students interested in joining EPIC take the most rigorous STEM courses available to them at their elementary and junior high schools. These courses include mathematics (algebra, geometry), science (earth, life, physical), computer science, and engineering (PLTW Gateway).

By the time they matriculate at Sunny Hills, incoming EPIC freshmen need to have completed at the minimum:

Math 8 or CCSS Math 8 with B's or better
- Students will need to complete Algebra I in their ninth grade year;
- Students should be enrolled in Geometry or a more advanced math course in tenth grade.
A year of junior high science with B's or better
- Most students will have completed some combination of earth, life, or physical science, with one semester during seventh grade and one during eighth grade;
- Students should be enrolled in Biology or Honors Biology in ninth grade.

Extracurricular Activities

Additionally students are encouraged to take advantage of other STEM opportunities that are available to them, both inside and outside of school. Below is a sample listing of extracurricular activities:
