Boeing Interns - Summer 2020
Boeing offers summer internships every year to a limited number of Orange County high schools including Sunny Hills High School. This year, the internship was a virtual experience for the most part due to COVID-19. Throughout the eight week program, interns engaged in various online projects and seminars. Every year, Boeing does an excellent job exposing interns to different aspects of the aerospace industry.

SkillsUSA team members from Sunny Hills High School competed in 3 events at the Regional Conference on Feb.1, taking home the Gold Medal in CO2 Car Design/Race; the Bronze medal in CO2 Car Design/Race; the Silver Medal in "Robotics: Urban Search and Rescue"; and the Silver Medal in Mobile Robotics Technology.

Boeing offers summer internships at their Huntington Beach facility every year to a limited number of Orange County high schools including Sunny Hills High School. Throughout the eight week program, interns engage in various projects ranging from conducting experiments in a chemistry lab to working on Boeing satellites. With the number of STEM jobs expected to grow to nine million by 2022, it is imperative that private companies encourage the next generation of students to pursue careers in engineering. Every year, Boeing does an excellent job exposing interns to different aspects of the aerospace industry.

Pumpkin Launch (Fall 2017)
The Pumpkin Launch is an annual event hosted by Discovery Cube at Cal State Fullerton. Teams of science and engineering students compete with giant trebuchets as they launch pumpkins at targets. It is a free community event that is fun for families of all ages.

Open House (Spring 2015)
Families of prospective students visit the EPIC building and learn more about the program. It is a great opportunity to meet the faculty and get answers to questions. Student ambassadors are also available to share their experiences of becoming a Lancer Engineer and provide project demonstrations. Families of current students may also attend to learn more about their students progress in EPIC.
